Info

Malta is a small island nation in the Mediterranean Sea, located south of Italy. The country is so small that you could fit it inside Berlin almost 3 times! The country is compact, but full of history and island life. In a week you can experience a big portion of the country.

The country is known for its warm climate, with long, sunny summers and mild winters. Malta has on average over 300 sunny days each year.

In this country we drank cheap cocktails, did a lot of snorkling and wateractivities and we loved every minute of it. Malta was our first vacation without parents or family so it felt extra special.

We went to Malta in july 2023 for one week total. We stayed in an apartment in San Giljan (St. Julian’s). This is where the nightlife centre of Malta is located. We didn’t really like the bars we visited. We visited a gay bar and a Dutch club, it’s not for us.. But we still got some nice alcoholic beverages in Malta. We went to a place in Valletta with the happy hours and got 2 cocktails for 4.50 euros.

We snorkeled pretty much every day and spotted some cool land and sea animals like an octopus and a gecko. I tried to find a chameleon too, but I had no luck.

Some places we visited and recommend are: Valletta, Gozo, Mdina, Marsaxlock, Blue Grotto, The three cities, Saint John’s Bastion, Rabat

Some places we didn’t get to visit, but might visit if we ever return to Malta: Popeye village, Dingli cliffs, Blue lagoon

Mdina
